Knightstone proposals

Through much of 2013 the City Council ran an indepth process to find a developer for the Carriageworks site.

Knightstone, a local housing association, submitted proposals and carried out intensive consultation over the summer with many workshops exploring the design of the site.

In the Autumn they submitted their final proposals which included outline designs, detailed financial information and proposals for long term management.

In December the City Council announced that Knightstone had been selected as their preferred developer.  It was anticiapted that they would start to work up their planning application in early 2014, although this was impacted by the arrival of Fifth Capital who had acquired a ‘controlling interest’ in the site and had started to prepare their own proposals.

In August 2014 Knightstone reconfirmed their commitment to work with the City Council and CAG to bring forward their development proposals.
